Okay, so I've always wondered about this. Like, Children’s Day is huge in some countries, but not a big deal in others. So, why even bother with a special LEGO gift if most people don't even know what Children’s Day is? In my experience, I think LEGO just uses these holidays as an excuse to get people excited and maybe spend a little more than they planned, no matter where they live. It’s not about the holiday itself for everyone—it’s just about getting something exclusive and cute.

Sometimes it feels like companies are just looking for any reason to run a promo. If the theme is ‘Children’s Day,’ cool, but I bet half the kids (and adults) end up wanting the freebie just because it’s limited-edition and looks different from the usual stuff. I remember buying a set on Valentine’s Day just for the promo polybag, and I didn’t even care about the holiday. So yeah, these GWPs still make sense because people like getting extra stuff, no matter what holiday it’s for. It’s less about the meaning, more about the free LEGO!
