Alright, so if a school gets caught breaking West African Examinations Council rules during WASSCE, it’s actually a big deal. In my experience, students and teachers get super nervous about this, and for good reason. If a public school is involved in exam malpractice, the headteacher can get reported to the Ghana Education Service for possible discipline or even legal action. There are real consequences, like the school’s exam results being withheld or even canceled.
I remember a time when everyone at my cousin’s school was super stressed because someone said they’d cheated, and WAEC actually came to investigate. It was like a detective show, only scarier because people’s futures were on the line. If it’s a private school, WAEC can stop recognizing them, which basically means they can’t have students sit exams through WAEC again — that ruins the school’s reputation. The heads of schools are responsible for making sure nothing fishy happens.
So honestly, it’s just not worth the risk. Everyone needs to play fair or it could mess up a lot of things for everyone there. My advice? Always follow the rules and don’t let anyone convince you to cheat.
