Dude, I've heard this argument a bunch on Reddit and honestly, I sort of get it. Like, if you buy a PS5 and a game, you’d expect to be able to just play with friends online without having to pay more. Back on older PlayStations, multiplayer was included for free, so charging for it with PS+ now feels kind of sketch to a lot of people.

My take? If you're only into offline singleplayer games, it totally sucks to be forced into a subscription for features you don't use, especially when game prices are already so high these days. Some folks say it's basically just a way for Sony to make more money, since online multiplayer runs off their servers and they can charge for it. But for those of us who love online matches or want to snag free monthly games, it's not totally pointless either.

I personally wish there was an option for just cloud saves or occasional online play without a full subscription. Sony's not perfect, but you gotta choose what matters to you most: your wallet or being able to play with your friends. That's the annoying part, to be honest.
