Honestly, both Portugal and Spain brought serious energy in that final, but if I had to pick one, I'd say Portugal stepped up when it counted most. Spain totally looked like the attacking team for big chunks—Nico Williams and Lamine Yamal were flying down the wings, and Zubimendi scored early, which made it look like Spain were cruising.
But Portugal didn't freak out. Cristiano Ronaldo did what he always does and popped up with an equalizer. Their keeper, Diogo Costa, was huge in penalties, pulling off the save that set up the win. It wasn’t just about big names either—Francisco Conceicao was making runs, and Bruno Fernandes kind of ran the show in midfield. That’s the stuff that matters in finals, I think: showing up in the high-pressure moments.
Spain played some sick football but couldn't seal it in regular time, and when it came down to penalties, Portugal just had more calm. I've seen so many matches where the team that keeps their head wins, and that’s exactly what happened here. If I had to say who performed better, I'd say Portugal, because they handled the pressure and took home the title. It was wild!
