From what I've seen, people are super hopeful that Fubara visiting Tinubu means this whole emergency rule thing might end early. It's honestly kind of wild how excited everyone got on social media after hearing about the meeting. Fubara's supporters seem to think Tinubu might just lift the ban before September, especially if their talks went well.

But, my dad says not to get too excited. He reckons these politicians always have something up their sleeve. I get it though, because keeping Rivers under emergency rule for months feels super intense, and it disrupts everything from schools to jobs to basic safety. If Tinubu actually ends it soon because of Fubara's visit, I think it'll be a big relief for a lot of people, but it might also make people question how much power the president has over state politics. Like, was the visit enough to change Tinubu’s mind, or is there more going on behind the scenes? Either way, it’s a dramatic twist if it happens.
