Oh, for sure! Since the Kroger home delivery shutdown, I bet stores like Walmart are happy because they’ve always been big on their pickup and delivery. My family switches between Kroger and Walmart all the time, mostly depending on what’s easier or cheaper at the moment. Now with Kroger out of the home delivery game, people who liked getting stuff delivered are probably gonna just use Walmart or Target instead, since those places are still pushing delivery hard.

One thing I’ve noticed: Walmart advertises its pickup and delivery everywhere, and they’ve got their systems really figured out. If Kroger customers don’t wanna hassle with curbside pickup or can’t drive, they might just jump to Walmart’s home delivery, especially for big orders. Honestly, all the stores are fighting for people who just don’t wanna go inside. So I think Walmart and maybe Amazon too could get a pretty big boost from this.

Who knows, maybe Kroger will bring back delivery if they see a ton of customers leave or if another COVID-level event happens again. It’s always shifting! For now, yeah, Kroger’s loss probably helps their biggest rivals.
