Honestly, I feel like Squid Game season 3 on Netflix is all about Gi-hun being stuck in that cycle of pain like forever. I watched it, hoping he'd finally get some peace, but instead, things just keep getting worse for him. Like, the dude literally goes from rock bottom to new levels of messed up. You'd think after winning the game, he'd finally be happy or at least move on. But nah, it's all guilt, loss, and just pure misery. I get that the show is trying to make a point about how messed up society can be, but after three seasons, it feels like Gi-hun never really escapes.
I know some people are saying this is what makes the ending powerful, but I honestly felt kinda frustrated. I wanted to see him heal or actually fight back instead of spiraling all the time. It just feels like, no matter what he does, the system crushes him again and again. It's emotional for sure, but if you're hoping for a happy ending, I don't think you're gonna get one here. Still, if you liked the pain and tension in past seasons, this one totally doubles down on that. Wild ride, but seriously tough to watch at times.
