It definitely makes things shaky when you see stuff like 'Akwa Ibom commissioner resigns' trending, especially after a big move like the governor joining APC. From what I've noticed when leaders leave and others start bailing too, it usually means not everyone agrees on the new direction. Three commissioners in Akwa Ibom quit after the governor defected, and most of the state lawmakers didn’t even follow him to APC!

If important people keep quitting, it can slow the government down, mess up ongoing projects, and even make citizens lose trust. Like, if your soccer team keeps losing its top players, it’s pretty hard to win big matches, right? It could also open up drama between the new ruling party and those who refuse to join. Personally, if I saw leaders fighting and dropping out where I live, I’d worry things could get messy or that government stuff would just stall. Sometimes, though, it forces real conversations about what’s important in politics—so it’s not always all bad, but it’s definitely stressful for everyone involved.
