From what I’ve seen, Messi’s charity matches are actually meant to be really fun and easygoing, not super competitive. Celebrities join in for laughs and to raise money, not to seriously win like in pro games. That’s why everyone lost it when Messi’s bodyguard did that wild slide tackle on Steve Nash—no one expected something like that! I mean, it’s supposed to be all about good vibes and showing off some skills, not risking an injury or anything.

I think this was a total one-off. Other matches I’ve watched or heard about usually have people just messing around, doing some tricks, and joking with each other. You might get the occasional funny tackle, but nothing brutal. This incident really stood out because the whole crowd, including soccer legends, was like—what’s happening?!

It’s kinda funny but also a bit awkward. If every game got this intense, I doubt celebs would want to play. Hopefully people remember to keep it chill. Charity is about good causes, not crushing each other. But who knows, maybe next year Messi will tell everyone, "No slide tackles allowed!"
