So, rotimi amaechi actually spoke up about how a lot of Nigerians are hungry, and honestly, it hits hard. I read that he said this during his 60th birthday event and didn’t hold back at all. He kinda called out politicians, saying most of them just fight over who controls the country's resources instead of helping regular people get by.
It makes sense because when I look around, the prices of food and everything else are going up, and it feels like the government isn’t really finding answers quick enough. For a political bigwig like Amaechi to call out his own kind, it’s pretty gutsy. It’s like he’s saying, "Hey, we should be fixing things, not just getting richer off public money." Some people loved that he told the truth, while others (especially politicians) got mad, saying he could embarrass the party or their friends. I’m not surprised by the mixed reactions, but I agree with him. Hunger is real, and politics should be about helping, not just fighting over stuff. Hopefully, more leaders actually listen this time.
