I've wondered this a bunch! Like, sometimes when I log onto espn+, the top stuff is all based on the teams I watch or the kind of fights I'm into. They actually track what games or events you click on, plus what you’ve watched before. Then they use that to mix and match the feed to put stuff you might like at the top.
It honestly does help a bit. I watch a lot of baseball and some soccer, so my home feed is pretty much all Dodgers and Barcelona highlights right away. One time my brother used my account to watch a bunch of hockey, and then my feed went totally hockey-crazy for days. So yeah, it's definitely based on your own activity, but also some general stuff like what’s trending or big games everyone’s talking about. Sometimes I wish I could reset it, though, cause when you watch something random it messes up the suggestions for a while. Kinda funny but also annoying if you share your account with others!
