What I noticed about Olamide in 99 is he really switched things up compared to his older stuff. I’ve been listening to his tracks since the 'Baddo' days when his songs felt more raw and gritty, you know? But in 99, it’s like he got way more playful with the beat and brought in all those younger artists with fresh styles. It’s less about just hardcore rap and more about blending afrobeats, pop, and even some RnB vibes, especially with Daecolm on the track. I remember blasting his old tracks and they were mostly street, all about hustle and real-life issues. But 99 feels like a celebration, more fun and a lot lighter. The collab energy is totally different from what he usually did solo. Honestly, I kind of like this side of Olamide because it shows he’s not stuck in one lane and he can still surprise us. Plus, it’s fun hearing him mix with newer artists—it gives the song this whole new feel. Totally worth hearing if you want to see how Olamide has changed over time!
