I've honestly been asking myself this too, since all these adults keep talking about it. From what I've seen, most young people are just hoping for more jobs or maybe better roads, not really caring about what party is in charge. Whenever there's big political drama, politicians always promise youth programs and scholarships, but in my experience, it's usually just talk till the next election.
Now that Akwa Ibom is in APC, maybe we’ll get more funds for youth stuff since the state’s closer with the federal government. But, I've also heard people get all hyped up during past party changes, and nothing really changed for teens or students. My older brother says the only way things change is if we push and ask, not just wait for politicians to deliver.
So if all these promises about youth empowerment in Akwa Ibom coming to APC turn out real, cool, but from what I've seen, we shouldn't hold our breath. My advice: pay attention, ask questions, and be ready to call them out if they slack off. We're the ones who'll end up dealing with their choices anyway!
