This is the first thing I thought when I saw that Cristian Chivu is now Inter’s coach. Chivu always struck me as a smart, tough defender who also liked to play the ball out from the back. I remember when he was managing Inter’s youth teams, they were known for passing a lot and actually letting young players try new stuff, instead of just going all defense-first like some Italian teams.

So honestly, I can see Inter playing with more courage—like pressing higher up the field, giving young talent a shot, and maybe not being so afraid to mess up. Chivu seemed to care about building trust with players at Parma, and from what I heard, he helped Parma's defense a ton. Inter’s defense has a lot of old guys now, so it’s cool that he might bring in new faces like Giovanni Leoni, who he worked with at Parma. Some fans want Inter to be like their old self, grinding out 1-0 wins, but I feel Chivu’s going to take a few more risks. I’d love to see Inter play smarter and faster, and it looks like Chivu could make that happen if he’s given the chance.
