I used to think childrens day stuff was just about getting free snacks and playing games, but after actually going to Poulsbo Kids Day with my cousins, I noticed it's not just for fun. There were firefighters and cops there, showing us how their gear works and letting us sit in their vehicles. That was way cooler than I expected! My little cousin learned about fire safety from one of the demos, and I even got to try a science activity at a booth. So yeah, there's a lot of "play time," but a bunch of the games and shows are about learning new things too. I liked that it wasn't just sitting in a classroom—it's learning by doing stuff and asking questions. My favorite part was getting a sticker for guessing healthy snacks at the food booth. It's cool because I picked up a few things I probably wouldn’t have in school. So for sure, it's a mix of both.
