From what I’ve seen, the ACCA is way more focused on accounting and finance skills that are super specific for those jobs, while a university business degree usually spreads out over more topics like marketing, management, and a bit of finance. My cousin did both, actually, and she told me that with ACCA, you get right to the point of what you need for accounting roles, and a lot of employers in accounting or audit want it straight up. But, if you want jobs that aren’t just accounting, like if you want to manage your own business or work in HR or something, a university degree can be better because it's broader. There’s also the option to do both, which some people do to cover all bases. TBH, in real life, employers still judge a lot on experience, but if all you care about is pure finance or accounting, ACCA probably gives you a bit of a boost.
