I've always thought those sports operations roles seem kind of behind the scenes, but they're honestly huge for women's basketball teams. I've seen how my friend's team totally changed after they got a new operations director—suddenly, everything was way more organized. Team travel was better, they got new gear, and even practices ran smoother. That makes a difference in how the team looks on the court and how much fun the fans have watching, for real.
People forget that successful entertainment, like college basketball games, needs serious management to make the game-day experience awesome. More fans show up when the events are well run, and that means better hype all around. When women's basketball finally gets the same professional treatment as other sports, it really starts to show in their performance and the attention they get. The entertainment factor goes way up, and that's what gets people talking—and coming back for more games!
