Honestly, I've been shocked every time I go look at Real Madrid ticket prices for games in the US. It's like, why does a single ticket cost over $200 for just a friendly match? I think it's because Real Madrid is one of those clubs that everyone knows—even people who rarely watch soccer have heard of them. When they're in the US, it's kind of a rare thing, so people are willing to pay a lot just to see them in person. I remember some of my friends bought tickets just so they could say they saw Real Madrid play, even though they're not hardcore fans.
I've also noticed that, since it's not super common for big European clubs to tour the US, resale prices go way up. Sites like Ticketmaster know people want these tickets, so they add service fees, and then on top of that, there are all sorts of options like 'Buy Now, Pay Later,' which makes them seem more affordable but really just spreads out the pain. Plus, a lot of the cheaper tickets get scooped up fast, leaving only the expensive ones. If you're just hoping to watch a good soccer game, it feels pretty wild, but for Real Madrid fans, that's the price for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
