Okay, so Pete Rose is just that guy in baseball. He has the most hits ever—like, nobody else even comes close to his 4,256 hits. My grandpa always called him "Charlie Hustle" because he played super hard every single game, even if his team was losing. He could play just about any position and made the All-Star Game at five different spots! That's crazy.

Even though he got caught up in gambling stuff and all that drama, fans still look up to him because of how he played. It's like people respect that he never quit and always gave 100 percent. The whole betting scandal for sure made people mad, but it didn't erase how good he was on the field. Some old fans say other players don't have half his heart. Honestly, watching old videos of him sprinting to first base even after a walk is just fun. I think some people will always root for him because of that, no matter what mistakes he made. That's why he's still a legend.
