Honestly, I’ve always wondered why AI in hospitals is mostly about helping doctors or, like, surgeons read X-rays faster, but not for nurses or physios who do most of the people stuff. I think the real reason is money. Hospitals and investors wanna spend on stuff that brings in more cash or can be shown off. Since radiology and surgery can charge more, fancy AI for them gets more attention. But the crazy thing is, most of the healthcare workers are actually nurses, physios, midwives, and all that. Skipping AI for them totally messes with how well the system runs, especially because there just aren’t enough of these workers and everyone is getting older, so there’s even more work. I remember my aunt saying her hospital introduced some AI to check scans, but her job as a nurse didn’t get any easier or better. I think it’s time businesses and AI startups actually listen to allied health pros and schools, or we’re all missing out on fixing big problems in healthcare.
