Yeah, I totally get what you mean. It feels like every few months, there’s some drama about water with the FCT Water Board. But today, I think everyone’s extra mad because this one’s gonna last for two whole weeks, and it’s hitting like all of Abuja, not just some neighborhoods. That’s not exactly normal, even for us.
I remember back in school when we had water cuts, we’d just wait it out a day or two and things would be back. But now it’s not just homes—the markets, hotels, restaurants, and even banks are talking about it. Plus, it keeps popping up in all the group chats and family WhatsApp messages. My dad even showed me three different news headlines about it this morning.
I think what makes this FCT Water Board news today such a big deal is because it affects everybody equally. There’s no escaping it if you’re in the city. And people are fed up because these fixes don’t really stop more outages down the road. So now, it’s not just the usual complaints, it’s everyone asking if the government is actually investing in good solutions or just patching things up every time stuff falls apart.
