This is actually pretty wild if you think about it. Wizkid playing Madison Square Garden is insane because MSG is basically where only the biggest stars in the world perform. It’s not easy for African artists, or even non-American artists in general, to headline that kind of venue in New York. For Afrobeats in particular, this seriously proves how global the genre has become.

I'm a huge fan, and I remember when no one in my class had heard of Wizkid. Now, seeing him literally selling out these legendary places? That means more people everywhere are taking African music seriously and appreciating the culture. It's also huge for fans like me – it kind of makes you proud, honestly, that someone from Africa is representing like that and breaking all the rules.

So yeah, it's more than just a show. It proves that Afrobeats and artists like Wizkid are now part of worldwide pop culture. Watching him live at MSG would be a dream for a lot of us!
