Surprisingly, there are some jobs that are actually kind of easier to get now under the new Canada immigration changes, but it totally depends on what you want to do. I've noticed that they're focusing a lot on certain jobs, like healthcare, teaching, social services, and trades. If you're already in Canada working or studying in those fields, you’ve got a better chance at getting permanent residency.
For example, if someone is a nurse or an electrician, or even studying to become one, it's way more likely they'll be picked through something called Express Entry, especially if they speak French. I even know a guy who switched from a business degree to healthcare just because he saw there'd be more demand, and it worked out way better for his PR application.
So, if you're thinking about jobs and education, it's smarter now to pick something from their "high demand" list. Other jobs, like regular business or hospitality, have way more competition and way less support from the immigration system now. It’s tough, but if you match what the government wants, you still have a shot.
