Man, I think about this a lot because I see so many people tweeting at AEDC on X (formerly Twitter) about blackout after blackout. There's this research I read about that says they're actually using machine learning to pay attention to what people say online now. Apparently, AEDC and other electricity companies have started analyzing customer complaints to figure out the biggest problems. But honestly, from my experience, just complaining on social media doesn't always mean things will get better super fast.

What’s kind of cool is that this research suggests when people speak up a lot, companies are more aware of their biggest mistakes. Some changes happen—maybe a few more customer service messages or they fix some areas faster. But I feel like unless LOADS of people complain at the same time, the company just goes back to business as usual. Still, I keep posting when the power goes out because who knows, maybe all our voices together will actually make them listen for real and finally sort things out. For now, they're starting to watch what customers say, but it's slow to see big results.

If you’re fed up with the Abuja electricity thing, keep raising your voice. They might listen if enough of us shout.
