Honestly, I think some APC guys are mad because it feels like they're not being given a fair shot. It's like, biodun oyebanji is getting all these public endorsements for a second term as governor, but the election isn't even close yet. Some party elders and younger members said it looks like he's trying to force himself on everyone as the only option, which just makes things tense.
In my experience, when politicians start getting these early "he's our only choice" kinda vibes, people who want to run too start to panic. They feel shut out before the real competition starts. Plus, some folks say oyebanji isn't really following party rules by letting his buddies create some committee to push for him, while the APC and even the president said primaries should be fair for everyone.
It just looks sketchy. The people supporting oyebanji say it's just them showing love for his work and not from him personally. But honestly, the drama is about everyone wanting a chance—like, no one wants to just be told "you can't even try." Politics is always messier than it looks! I wouldn't want to be in the middle of it, honestly.
