So I've argued with my friends about this a lot, and honestly, I can't imagine Mission Impossible without Ethan Hunt, aka Tom Cruise. The dude's been the face of the franchise since the '90s, and his crazy stunts are just legendary. But, like, Hollywood loves reboots, right? If Tom Cruise really hangs up the IMF badge, maybe they try to pass the torch to someone else or do a total reboot with new characters.

But do I think fans would still show up? Probably, but not in the same way. I know a lot of people who watch mainly for Tom doing wild stuff. It's kinda like trying to do Harry Potter without Harry. Sure, you can try, but it just won't feel the same at first. Maybe they could slowly introduce a new lead or have a spin-off, but it'll take time for people to care as much.

For me, if the action's still good and the stories are fun, I'll give it a shot. But it's definitely risky. If they just replace Ethan Hunt without a good plan, it could totally flop. Still, you never know what will happen in Hollywood. I've seen crazier things work before!
