Honestly, I think TikTok outages can be kind of a blessing, even if everyone acts like it's the end of the world. Like, whenever TikTok is down, it kinda forces me to remember there's other stuff I can do. Last time it happened, I ended up hitting up my friends to actually go outside and play basketball instead of just scrolling for hours. It was kind of awesome.
I also think people get a chance to break out of that endless scrolling loop and maybe get their homework done or spend time with their family. Some of my friends told me the outages are super annoying but, after a while, they start doing other things they forgot about, like reading or drawing. There’s even been talk that taking breaks from these apps is good for your mental health. You stop stressing over views and likes for a bit.
So yeah, while outages feel like a pain, I think sometimes they're a needed reset button for everyone! Maybe we don't need as much TikTok as we think we do.
