From everything I've read, yeah, it kind of looks like energy drinks with taurine could mess with blood cancer, especially leukemia. Scientists found that leukemia cells actually use taurine to help themselves grow and make energy. The scary part is that these cancer cells can't even make taurine on their own, so they just grab it from whatever's around them, like from your diet or the drinks you have. I remember reading about this new study where they tested mice with leukemia and when those mice had more taurine, their cancer grew even faster. Honestly, that's wild! It's not like I ever thought chugging an energy drink would fuel cancer cells, but the science is starting to say it might. So, if someone has leukemia or a blood cancer, it kind of makes sense to be super careful with taurine and maybe avoid those drinks while more research comes out. It's weird because, before, ppl thought taurine was only good for you, but now, for some folks, it might do more harm than good. Just my take, but I'd definitely be asking my doctor about it if I were in that boat.
