Honestly, I saw a bunch of people pretty split about the Crunchyroll anime awards 2025 winners. Like, don't get me wrong, Solo Leveling taking Anime of the Year was cool—I liked it a lot myself, especially the animation and music—but some of my friends thought other shows like Frieren or Demon Slayer deserved it more. The comments online were wild, with some folks hyped up about the choices and others acting like Crunchyroll totally missed the mark.
Attack on Titan getting that new Global Impact Award was kinda expected, since it’s been a huge deal for years. But I did see some people saying it’s just fan service or that the big shows always get these special shout-outs. I get where they're coming from, but at the same time, it's not like AOT didn’t have an insane following worldwide.
I actually liked seeing a new mix of winners this year compared to old seasons, but no matter who wins, anime fans are always gonna debate this stuff. The awards are fun, but everyone’s got different tastes, so it’s never gonna make everybody happy. Still, watching the reactions and memes afterwards is half the fun if you ask me!
