Man, the man city vs bournemouth match was wild mostly because it was Kevin De Bruyne’s last game at the Etihad for City! I watched it with my dad because he’s been a City fan for ages, and it felt so emotional. City won 3-1, which almost made it a perfect send-off, even though De Bruyne actually fluffed a really easy chance, which was crazy because he’s usually super clinical. But Omar Marmoush stepped up and scored a banging 30-yard goal, almost like a tribute to De Bruyne’s style. There were big celebrations for Kev—like a huge tifo, a guard of honour, and even Pep Guardiola was crying. I loved how even after everything, De Bruyne still captained the team and gave a heartfelt speech with his family there.
I’ve found that when a legend leaves, the vibe is way different—you could really feel it in the stadium and online. The fans showed so much love, and seeing him reflect on all the trophies and memories just proves how much he meant to City. The game also mattered because it put City closer to Champions League qualification, but honestly, it was all about saying goodbye to a club legend. It felt special to watch!
