Honestly, public holidays can totally mess with sports tournaments, but sometimes it works out awesome. I've noticed that if games land on a public holiday, more people can actually show up because they’re off school or work. Like, finals or big matches might get insane crowds. But if teams or athletes have to travel during these holidays, it can get chaotic—transport might be worse, and hotels fill up. In tournaments, organizers might even try to schedule big games to land on public holidays on purpose so they get more hype and ticket sales. I've got friends who play soccer, and they’re always hyped if their cup finals are on these days because the vibe’s just different. Still, sometimes it can be annoying for players since public holidays can mean last-minute changes or more pressure with bigger audiences. But overall, they usually make the games feel like even bigger events! So, yeah, it’s a toss-up, but most times, having public holidays during tournaments is a win for fans.
