I’ve been following Arsenal for years, and honestly, beating Barcelona in a Champions League final does feel huge. Some people online are saying it changes everything for the club. I get that—it’s been ages since they won their last European title, and this wasn’t some fluke. They actually beat a team that’s basically been unstoppable for years. But I don’t think it instantly turns Arsenal into a European powerhouse overnight, you know?
From what I’ve seen, winning a big trophy definitely gives the team more confidence and respect, maybe attracts better players, and boosts the club’s reputation. But if Arsenal wants to really be at Barcelona’s level year after year, they’ll have to back this up with more consistent wins and good runs in Europe, not just a one-off. That said, I met some Arsenal fans at school and they were legit buzzing the Monday after the game—everyone acting like they just woke up to a new club or something! So yeah, it changes the vibe around the team and what fans expect, but I think they’ve still got a lot to prove if they wanna stay on top. Still, what a night!
