I totally wondered the same thing! Sometimes with these big Hollywood movies, it's more about making things shocking or emotional than telling what actually happened. From what I've read, the Madden movie is aiming to capture the real influence John Madden and Al Davis had—not just as football guys but as pop culture icons, like how Madden changed games and broadcasting. But yeah, since it’s directed by David O. Russell—who’s known for crazy, dramatic movies like Silver Linings Playbook—I bet there’s gonna be some stuff added to make every scene more intense. I wouldn’t be surprised if some moments get exaggerated or if big arguments are way bigger in the movie than in real life. Still, the cast seems serious about getting the look and personalities right, so I’m hoping they at least respect what these NFL legends actually did, not just turn it all into a soap opera. Guess we’ll have to watch and see if it’s more about football or just big Hollywood drama! If it gets people hyped about learning the real history, I actually don’t mind a little drama.
