Does the premier league table actually show the best teams or is it just the richest clubs buying their way to the top every year?

Man, this question comes up all the time. In my opinion, the premier league table can feel a bit rigged by money. Clubs like Manchester City and Chelsea have crazy budgets, so they stack their teams with stars and usually end up near the top. It’s not hard to see that being rich makes your path up the table easier (I mean, City’s been at the top almost every year since the big money came in).

But, there’s still surprises. Look at what Leicester City did in 2016! No one thought they would win the league with their budget, but they did.

So yeah, money matters, but it doesn’t guarantee everything. There’s always clubs like Fulham or even Burnley that have had spells near the top just by playing smart and having the right manager. I wish it was more equal, but as long as TV deals and billionaire owners are around, the league table will probably keep being about who can spend the most. It does suck a little, but every season still manages to have guys shaking up the order, so I’ll keep watching.
