Honestly, it's so annoying when I try to check my local US embassy site and get hit with that 'forbidden' error. I even tried a few different ones, and it’s the same thing. In my experience, it’s usually just boring old technical problems or server overloads—nothing super mysterious. Like, maybe they're updating the site, or there's something wrong with how people are trying to connect, especially if a lot of people need emergency info at once or something.
But sometimes, I wonder if there’s more to it, like maybe certain countries or networks block embassy sites on purpose. I mean, embassies handle some sensitive stuff, and with all the politics lately, I guess it could be hacked or hit by DDoS attacks too. But most of the time, it’s just normal computer stuff, which is funny because you’d think a high-powered government site would never have glitches. Long story short, it’s probably just tech errors, but with the way the world is lately, I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s something else going on in the background. I just keep refreshing till it works or try using a VPN if I really need info.
