I totally think it’s worth it, even if you don’t care at all about horses. A bunch of my friends only go for the infield at Preakness, not for the race. It’s legit like the craziest outdoor festival—there’s music, crazy mini games, people tailgating, tossing footballs, beer pong, slip and slides, you name it. The crowd is always wild, everyone’s decked out in funny outfits, and it feels a lot more like a party than a sporting event.

With Preakness 2025 being the last one ever at old Pimlico, it’s honestly got that ‘once in a lifetime’ feeling. I’d say you’ll miss out if you’re anywhere near Baltimore and don’t just go to see the insane crowd energy. Even if you just wanna chill, eat good food, and people-watch, it’s super fun. I kind of wish every big game day felt this hype, honestly. So yeah, it’s totally worth it for the games and ridiculous infield chaos alone.
