Honestly, this whole thing where President Tinubu suspended Governor Fubara had a lot of people seriously mad and confused. From what I've read and heard, most experts think the constitution doesn't let the president just kick out a governor, no matter how bad things get. Apparently, under Section 305 of the Nigerian Constitution, a state of emergency can be declared in a state if there’s chaos, but it doesn’t say the president can remove elected officials like Fubara or the State Assembly.

I remember watching a bunch of interviews where lawyers were going back and forth about it, and the main thing was, suspending a governor isn’t really legal—it’s more like the president took things into his own hands. Some people say it’s an 'aberration' and goes against democracy because it takes away what the people voted for. The courts even got involved, and now there’s a bunch of PDP governors and groups saying they should keep fighting in court to get the Supreme Court to say for sure what the law allows.

So, I don’t think the president can just suspend a governor like Fubara without breaking some serious rules. That’s why everyone’s talking about it!
