Honestly, yeah—Kevin Costner is definitely taking a big risk by pouring his own money into Horizon. I heard he even skipped his salary because he was so set on making this project a reality. That’s super bold, but it can backfire if the film bombs. If these movies keep losing money, he might find it tougher to convince studios to work with him later, just because Hollywood is so obsessed with money.
But at the same time, I think it takes guts to go all-in like that. It kind of reminds me of when I saved up for a big trip—if it goes well, great. If not, you’re kinda stuck and out a ton of money. With Costner, he’s got a huge reputation, so one flop might not end his career, but too many could make people start doubting his decision-making. I doubt he’ll ever really disappear from Hollywood, but he might have to play it safer with future projects. Still, I respect that he’s actually passionate enough to risk so much for something he believes in.
