I totally think Pellegrini might rest some of Betis' main players against Valencia, and honestly, I get it. They’ve got the Conference League final coming soon, and after losing out on a Champions League spot, that trophy is probably everything right now. If I was in charge, I wouldn't risk guys like Isco or the other key starters getting injured in a game that can’t change their league standing much.
From what I’ve watched, sometimes this works in your favor because it gives the younger or backup players a real shot to impress, and they want to show off in front of a home crowd, especially with the stadium closing soon. On the other hand, you always worry about losing momentum right before a big final if too many regulars sit out.
In my experience, coaches usually rotate smartly — maybe sub in big names later in the game if things get rough. Either way, expect some surprises in that lineup for Betis vs Valencia. Personally, I’d love to see some underrated Betis players make a name for themselves in this one!
