Honestly, I've totally noticed this too! Like, half my group chat is glued to their flashscores app, even if they've got the game on in the background. I think people are just way more impatient these days and want every update instantly, especially if they're following multiple games or teams. It's just easier to check a quick score than flip through channels or wait for the TV to catch up.
Plus, with things like fantasy leagues and betting, you kinda need to see scores from five different games at the same time. Flashscores gives you all of that in one shot, so you don't have to scroll a bunch of websites or wait for long highlight reels. I've even checked flashscores at school or work just to avoid getting caught streaming games on my phone.
For sure, some people use flashscores as the main way to keep up, while others still love the live game feel. But I get it—being obsessed with scores showing up instantly just kinda matches how everything else about life is so fast now.
