Honestly, I don't think Rory needs to chase after Tiger Woods or Jack Nicklaus records. He’s even said himself that it’s probably not realistic to catch them in total majors, since Tiger and Jack are literal legends with 15 and 18 major wins. Rory’s got five, which is already wild, but it’s a huge gap.

I see it more like when you hit your biggest personal goal, sometimes you just want to enjoy what you’ve done instead of stressing over impossible stats. If I was Rory, I’d just go for enjoying the tournaments, playing for the love of the game, and if more wins come, that’s awesome. I’ve seen other athletes get burnt out going after crazy records—sometimes they stop liking what they do. For Rory, he could just chill a bit, stay competitive, and not worry about being the GOAT. That makes sense to me.
