Honestly, from what I've found, there’s a lot of rumors and reports saying governor fubara didn’t exactly have a choice. While the official story is all about peace and unity, some independent news like SaharaReporters are saying President Tinubu and his team put massive pressure on fubara to join the APC.

It wasn’t just like “hey, come over to our party!” Apparently, there was serious political and even judicial pressure until he agreed. They say it was all part of a bigger strategy to make sure Tinubu’s supporters control more parts of Nigeria ahead of the next big elections. Whether fubara actually wanted to join, no one really knows—it seemed more like survival mode. If I was in his shoes, I'd probably feel trapped too. So, yeah, it seems like it was more about political games than him actually wanting to switch sides.
