I totally get why people are side-eyeing the whole Matheus Cunha to Manchester United thing. Look, Cunha's been awesome for Wolves—he's racked up 17 goals and 6 assists this season, which is nothing to sneeze at. But United fans (and honestly, just football fans in general) have seen their team splash out big money on flashy players who end up doing almost nothing at Old Trafford.
I've seen a ton of people say Cunha's unpredictable style and "maverick" attitude make him exciting, but that kind of personality can also cause chaos at a club that already struggles with consistency and discipline. There's also the walking stat—he spends more time just strolling around on the pitch than anyone else in the league. That just feels weird for a team that wants high-press, energetic football, right?
If Cunha can bring some actual fun and unpredictability back to United, that's awesome. But if his emotional style doesn't mesh with the strict environment there, we could be talking about another super expensive disappointment. I hope he proves the doubters wrong, though. United desperately needs creativity and some real personality up front.
