One of the best reasons I keep my HBO Max subscription is for the exclusive shows and movies. As of 2025, HBO Max has original stuff you can't catch anywhere else. Shows like "Euphoria," "The Last of Us," and "Succession" are what I always hear people talking about – and it's true, they're only on HBO Max. They even have new stuff coming out like spin-offs from DC comics and more "Game of Thrones" related series (I know, not everyone loved the ending, but the prequels are still hype).

For movies, there's usually a good lineup of exclusive Warner Bros releases before they go anywhere else, like if a new superhero movie comes out, it drops on HBO Max first. I remember when "Dune" and "The Batman" were just there before my friends could watch them anywhere else. If you're a big fan of classic sitcoms, they also have all the "Friends" episodes and even some behind-the-scenes specials that only show up on there. It's honestly one of the main reasons I keep coming back. Lots of apps have big libraries, but HBO Max definitely has its own stuff that makes it worth it for me.
