Omg, CenterPoint Energy actually does a ton for local communities! One big thing I heard about is that they sponsor the Dayton Air Show, which is this huge event in Ohio that brings in everyone from little kids to, like, giant plane fans. In 2025, they’re even bringing back the US Air Force Thunderbirds and honestly, that’s pretty awesome. It shows they're not just about gas and electric bills—they actually put money back into the community and set up stuff people legit enjoy.
Besides that, I've read that they focus on having a really diverse workforce and want their company to match the vibe of the places they serve. My friend's uncle works there and he said CenterPoint supports community programs, volunteers, and tries to be a good neighbor, not just a business. I feel like you don’t always hear about energy companies caring, so it’s cool when you see things like big events and local causes getting help from them.
