I totally get the struggle of not having cable and still wanting to watch the PGA Championship. I've dealt with this myself for past tournaments. Honestly, the easiest way these days is using a streaming service like ESPN+ or Paramount+, since they usually get rights to show the tournament live. If you're like me and don't want to pay another subscription, you can check if either offers a free trial. I've done this before with ESPN+ just to catch the weekend rounds.
Also, sometimes the CBS Sports app or website will show parts of the PGA Championship, especially on the weekend, totally free. But, you'll usually only get coverage of the main players or the final holes, not the full round. Another trick: if you know someone with cable, just ask for their login info for the weekend (lots of people are cool sharing for big sporting events).
I remember last year, my friend and I just hooked his laptop to our TV and watched the featured groups through the official PGA site, which sometimes has their own free live streams. So, it’s totally possible to watch without cable, you just gotta put in a little effort or coordinate with your friends. I hope that helps!
