Okay, so this one's a bit creepy. Imagine finding out a loan was approved in your name without a clue about it! Like, my eyes popped when I read about this. In this incident, GTBank somehow processed a loan using someone's National Identification Number (NIN) without them knowing. Yikes, right?

It sounds like the bank might have some holes in their security processes. Normally, banks are meant to do proper checks to confirm identities — like double-checking ID cards, phone numbers, or even asking for personal details only the real owner would know. But here, it seems something went majorly wrong.

I think GTBank needs to up their game on how they handle personal data and ID verification. Maybe they got too comfy and aren't doing enough double-checks. I mean, it's 2025, guys, let's make sure everyone's personal info is in good hands!

If this happened to my family, I'd want GTBank to really explain how they'll stop this from happening to anyone else. They've gotta bring in better tech or extra steps to keep customers' info safe.
