The way Angola vs South Africa looked in the latest Cosafa Cup matches totally gave me a different vibe about where both teams are headed. South Africa kept it super solid—they haven’t lost in their last five games, and only let in 0.2 goals per match! Angola, on the other hand, scored more but also took more risks on defense, which means their games are usually more exciting but a bit shaky at the back.
If I had to guess, it feels like South Africa is leaning into a more defensive and disciplined style, maybe trying to build a team that’s hard to beat in tournaments. Angola seems to be all about attacking—you see more goals in their matches (2.2 per game lately), but they could use a stronger defense if they wanna go deep in big competitions.
From the way things are going, I think South Africa might end up with more consistent results, while Angola could pull off upsets against anyone if they fix their back line. It’ll be cool to see if either of them can break into that top African football club soon!
