This Nnamdi Kanu court situation is getting pretty wild. From what I saw, the Federal High Court in Abuja actually accepted some videos as evidence. The defense team brought in videos that had big names like Gen. T.Y. Danjuma, Imo Governor Hope Uzodinma, and the DSS boss Adeola Ajayi. They put them all on a flash drive and even had a certificate showing it was legit.
The judge, Justice James Omotosho, said it was cool to use them, especially since the government’s own lawyers didn’t object. They ended up playing the videos right in court and even cross-examined a DSS officer about what was on them. So yeah, it’s not just papers and witnesses anymore, tech is making its way into these trials for real.
I remember watching something similar on the news before, and it always feels like these cases get more complicated when digital evidence comes in. Makes me wonder if the videos can actually sway the judge or if it’s just more drama. But, no lie, it’s a big deal in Kanu’s defense. People are definitely watching to see if this changes anything for him. Politics and law in Nigeria never get boring, that's for sure! If you’re following, keep an eye out—these court cases never go the way people expect.
