So, when someone like the sole administrator quits in Rivers, it really throws a wrench in things. I've heard from my uncle (who follows all this political stuff way more than me) that these jobs are super important because the administrator basically runs everything for the council. If they quit, especially like what happened just now in Ahoada East, it's chaos until a new person gets picked or elections are finally held.

The weird part here is that none of the councils had elections—they all got administrators handpicked after the previous leaders finished their terms. There's already a lot of argument over whether that's fair or legit, so someone resigning just adds to the mess. Police had to lock down the office after Iheamnacho resigned, and people are saying nobody knows who to go to for council stuff right now.

I think the main thing is, when the top guy leaves so suddenly, everyone loses trust in how things are run and it makes it way harder for regular people to get what they need from the government. It just feels like everything freezes or falls apart until someone steps up. Hopefully, they set up real elections soon.
